Through the Bridge of Spears Lyrics

Blow the winds of bloodshed their immortal chilling breeze
Widespread on the lands of Caldbec Hill
Taking off my head this helmet that's what now I see
My friends and foes united by their deadly destinyGod have guided my sword towards the final victory
My men are on their way to Bridge of Spears
My God be pity and answer to thy servant's final plea
Don't make me taste the loneliness that always curses kingsGive me wings to command
And power to spread
Give the peace to these lands[CHORUS:]
I've witnessed the slaughter
In the lands of Caldbec Hill
I've sent my men to face death
Was all this meant just for me?
I've witnessed the slaughter
In the lands of Caldbec Hill
I've raised my arms, I've taken their lives
I'm William the only kingTime has come when I shall rule on these lands
My word shall be law and my law shall command

Carve my name with sacred fire
On the stone that history saved for meGive me wings to command
And power to spread
Give peace to these lands[CHORUS:]
I've witnessed the slaughter
In the lands of Caldbec Hill
I've sent my men to face death
Was all this meant just for me?
I've witnessed the slaughter
In the lands of Cladbec Hill
I've raised my arms, I've taken their lives
I'm William the only king

Thy Majestie, formed in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, is a symphonic power metal band based on a project from Giuseppe Bondì and Claudio Diprima from 1998. Their first demo was titled "Sword, Shields and Crown". It did not meet with much success, but after a year of work their second demo, "Perpetual Glory", finally began receiving attention. They are then picked up by Scarlet Records, a big company from Milan: after a troubled period their debut, "The Lasting Power", breaks through with the Thy Majestie name. It's a real success, though they are mostly appreciated outside of Italy.
