Treachery Lyrics

I'm the servant of the crown, now and forever
No evil's bigger than the pain, now I feel
I damn my heart for few promises forever
I keep on fighting, I make me strong
My lie has me in its power and chains up my soul
Because I only dream, I deserve to diePlease forgive me, ohh, my king, for secrets in my heart
It's going against my nature, I'm going against my will
For few lands I betrayed, I will burn in hell foreverOhh, my king, my treachery you will never forget
In my eyes there is no light anymore
Now I beg your mercy
I live for loyaltyI'm the servant of the crown, now and forever
No evil's bigger than the pain, now I feel
I damn my heart for few promises forever
Please forgive me, ohh, my king, for secrets in my heart
It's going against my nature, I'm going against my will
For few lands I betrayed, I will burn in hell foreverOhh, my king, my treachery you will never forget
In my eyes there is no light anymore
I shall never come back to this reign again

'Cause the treachery is pain for meHis promises of glory damned my soul in that night
And now my holy steel cannot fight
To hide my treachery and my despair anymoreAnd now my holy steel cannot fight
To hide my treachery and my despair anymore

Thy Majestie, formed in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, is a symphonic power metal band based on a project from Giuseppe Bondì and Claudio Diprima from 1998. Their first demo was titled "Sword, Shields and Crown". It did not meet with much success, but after a year of work their second demo, "Perpetual Glory", finally began receiving attention. They are then picked up by Scarlet Records, a big company from Milan: after a troubled period their debut, "The Lasting Power", breaks through with the Thy Majestie name. It's a real success, though they are mostly appreciated outside of Italy.
