Tie Dye On the Highway Lyrics

Tie dye on the highway, see the garlands in your hair
If you're going my way, come along
What a beautiful sky, we just had to stop and stare
See the beautiful colors fill the air(Oh, just the messengers of peace)
Oh, do you remember across the burning years
Sweet smell of the mystery I recall?
Hang me on Miguel, a smile through all my fears
Oh high Olympus, touch our soulWith the messengers of peace and the company of love
All the passion and release, and love from up above
Say you will come back with me, say you will come backTie dye on the highway, the wheels still turn around
Dance to the mariachi, take my hand
Hope springs eternal when laughter's feeling sound
Move in the mystic wasted landWith the messenger of peace and the company of love
All the passion and release, and love from up above
(You know that it is true)From the desert in my art, where the innocent may love
All the passions they release, and the love from up above
Say you will come back with me, say you will come back
Say you will come back with me, say you will come back

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
