Kon:trast are an interesting cocktail of melodic tunes with a Persian touch and hip-hop - it’s not pop and it’s not hip-hop – it’s hip-pop. The band consists of Mehdi Avaz (originally from Iran) and Lars Stryhn. Lars writes the lyrics and Mehdi adds an interesting edge with his music. Both guys reside in Nørrebro, Denmark. Their debut single “Danserinde” was released in October 2006 and their album is expected in Spring 2007.
