To Kill Ya Lyrics

Baby, I wrote this song for to kill ya
Baby, I wrote this song to see you gone
and I hope these words will do the trick
and the melody will stick in your head
the drums they pound til your dead
ahh, baby, I wrote this song for to make ya
baby, I wrote this song to make you sing along
and I hope you tap your little foot
and raise your pretty hand
shake it out, sing it
how you almost knew the man
who wrote this song
one, two, three you're gone
Now I hope that it cuts you down
said I hope that it cuts you down
said I hope that it cuts you down
and I hope that it cuts you down

Baby, I wrote this song cuz I want ya
maybe I wrote this song cuz I don't need you anymore
but baby maybe its the words
that people like to say
to keep you hanging on
and when there's still love but along
I missed you too and I say to you
one two three you're gone
oh one two three you're gone
oh one two three you're gone

1) From the Binghamton, New York, music scene comes Driftwood, a band with a rock n’ roll soul and a folk art mind. Carving out a name for themselves with electrifying live performances, they bring one of the most unique, raw sounds to the americana/roots music scene. Incorporating upright bass, banjo, acoustic guitar, and violin, the ghost of traditional American folk music lives in their palette. But the melodies, the harmonies and the lyrics are something else entirely. They have released three albums to date: "Rally Day" (2009), "A Rock & Roll Heart" (2011), and "Driftwood" (2013).
