Tokyo Rose Lyrics

Lyrics -copyright 1983.
Intro./Chorus.
This is Tokyo Rose interfering with your radio show.
Just to say a few words like :-
Yankee Go Home leave us alone, Yankee Go Home.
Yankee Go Home leave us alone, Yankee Go Home.
Verse1.
She was a lady back in forty five.
She had to tell the Allies they were gonna die.
From the Sands of Hiroshima to the Banks on Bunker Hill
You could always here her name.
Tokyo Rose.
And she would Broadcast all over the world.
This high class society Eastern Girl .
Now it's sometimes said on certain Airways if you listen
carefully you can hear her say.
Intro./Chorus.
Verse2.

Now the boys thought of her as a joke.
You know they even used to mimic the way she spoke.
From the Back streets of London to the Highways of LA.
You could always here her name.
Tokyo Rose.
Now the boys went to Hell and Back .
Listening all the time for the odd broadcast.
Now it's sometimes said on certain Airways if you listen
carefully you can hear her say.
Intro./Chorus.
Now the years the years have past by.
Where's Tokyo Rose well she's probably died
She was the first to say Yankee Go Home.
But we Thank God today that those Yankees won.
Outro.
This is Tokyo Rose Calling >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The Shok Paris story began with the dream of Bill Sabo in 1982. Wanting to form an original band, Bill turned to his cousin Eric Marderwald and Ken Erb. Eric had been playing in an early incarnation of Breaker, and was convinced to join ranks with Bill and Ken. After a time of rehearsal's, the three placed an ad for a bassist and vocalist. Kel Bershire answered the ad for bassist and the nucleus of Shok Paris was formed.
