Too Late Lyrics

Early morning late afternoon
makin good time now
maybe I won't be too late
Well I walk on walk on
until I was about 5 miles out
A young man drove me the rest of the way
I gotta think I am getting somewhere now
Oh maybe its just my way
Gotta find those things I left behind
just like it was yesterday
I gotta a dollar 25 saved
That rustle stops riding at my feet
I'll be on my way
Baby I won't be so late

Oh I had a love once
We had a home but I couldn't leave well enough alone
now i used fiery right to burn those bridges down
the rivers don't wine the same way now
wish I could drop her a line
rewind some time
but she is some where in love now
But I got a dollar 25 saved
this bus will stopped right at my feet
I'll be on my way
baby I won't be too late
mmmmmm
Well I'm all ragged now
tired in some old forgotten town now
like I've always been that way
took me this jangle coffee cup
I hold in my hand to realize that I ma always begging for change
but i got a dollar 25 saved
This bus will stop right at my feet
and I'll be on my way
baby I wont be too late
i got a dollar 25 save
this bus will stop right at my feet
I'll be on my way
baby I wont be too

Andrew Duhon began his writing in highschool as a result of his fascination with the works of Emerson and Thoreau as well as poets Walt Whitman and Robert Frost. During the summer of '02 Andrew worked and lived at an old retreat house on the outskirts of the French Quarter. It was then that he fell in love with the character of New Orleans. A year later hurricane Katrina left the city and his former French Quarter home crippled.
