Too Young Lyrics

-artist: nat king cole
-peak billboard position # 1 for 5 weeks in 1951
-words by sylvia dee and music by sid lippman
-also charted by donny osmond at # 13 in 1972
They try to tell us we're too young
Too young to really be in love
They say that love's a word
A word we've only heard
But can't begin to know the meaning of
And yet we're not too young to know
This love will last though years may go
And then some day they may recall
We were not too young at all
And yet we're not too young to know
This love will last though years may go
And then some day they may recall

We were not too young at all

Dodie Stevens, (born Geraldine Ann Pasquale, 17 February 1946, Chicago, Illinois), was a singing prodigy at the age of four. By the time she was seven she began making local television appearances, and in 1959, at age thirteen, she had the #1 hit, gold record “Pink Shoelaces”. While still in high school, Dodie’s career skyrocketed. She appeared on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand and starred with Fabian in her first film, “Hound Dog Man”. She continued to record a string of singles and albums, and more television guest appearances followed, including Bob Hope’s weekly television show.
