Train to Freedom (feat. Fred Johanson) Lyrics

The railroad bars was makin' lots of money
Makin' lots of money in the railroad town
The railroad bars was feelin' kinda funny
Something kept coming 'round and goin' around'Cause if the train don't run there'll be some trouble
Gonna be some trouble if the train don't run
And if the train don't come, it'd be a pity
They'd have to call Baltimore 'Sunset City'We're on the train to freedom
All the way to freedom
On our way home to freedom
We might be going nowhere but we won't know 'til we get there
We're on the train to freedom
Rollin' on to freedom
Comin' home to freedom
We don't know how far to take it but we'll make it or we'll break it
Someday, somedayThe engineer said gotta keep the wheels turnin'
Keep the fire burnin' like an engineer should
The engineer tried to keep the motor runnin'
Just a steamin' and a shovellin' water and woodBut if the creek run dry, where'd you get the water?

If the trees don't grow, where'd you get the wood?
And if the fish don't bite, how you gonna feed 'em?
It might be time to move along and that's no goodWe're on the train to freedom
All the way to freedom
On our way home to freedom
We might be going nowhere but we won't know 'til we get there
We're on the train to freedom
Rollin' on to freedom
Comin' home to freedom
We don't know how far to take it but we'll make it or we'll break it
Someday, somedayGood-time Joe was havin' quite a party
Havin' quite a party with a good-time crowd
Good-time Joe was drinkin' lots of whiskey
Lots and lots of whiskey when the news got outAnd then the railroad train stopped runnin'
The creek run dry and the trees don't grow
But when the booze ran out, he got a problem
Well how's he gonna call himself Good-time Joe?We're on the train to freedom
All the way to freedom
On our way home to freedom
We might be going nowhere but we won't know 'til we get there
(Hallelujah)
We're on the train to freedom
(Hallelujah)
Rollin' on to freedom
(Hallelujah)
Comin' home to freedom
We don't know how far to take it but we'll make it or we'll break itSomeday, somedayThe undertaker said what a happy day this is
(Hallelujah)
We'll its really good for business if they whole town's dead!(Hallelujah)
We're on the train to freedom
(Hallelujah)
All the way to freedom
(Hallelujah)
On our way home to freedom
We might be going nowhere but we won't know 'til we get there
(Hallelujah)
We're on the train to freedom
(Hallelujah)
Rollin' on to freedom
(Hallelujah)
Comin' home to freedom
We don't know how far to take it but we'll make it or we'll break itSomeday, someday, someday, someday...
Hallelujah, someday, hallelujah, someday...On the train to freedom!
