Trav'lin' All Alone Lyrics

I'm so weary and all alone
Feel tired like heavy stone
Trav'lin', trav'lin' all aloneWho will see and who will care
'Bout this load that I must bear
Trav'lin', trav'lin' all alonePrayers are said to heaven above
'Bout my burdens, woes and love
Head bowed down with misery
Nothing now appeals to me
Trav'lin', trav'lin' all aloneGive me just another day
There's one thing I want to say
Friends do well and all [Incomprehensible]
Leave you always when you're old
Trav'lin', trav'lin' all alone, all alone

Billie Holiday (born Eleanora Fagan April 7, 1915 – July 17, 1959) was an American jazz singer and songwriter. Nicknamed "Lady Day" by her friend and musical partner Lester Young, Holiday was a seminal influence on jazz and pop singing. Her vocal style, strongly inspired by jazz instrumentalists, pioneered a new way of manipulating phrasing and tempo. Billie Holiday had a difficult childhood. Much information once not considered true was confirmed in the book Billie Holiday by Stuart Nicholson in 1995.
