Truth, Rest Your Head Lyrics

I've been lazy, I've not waited for you
Nature's hasty and Lord knows so am I
Six months inside, Wandsworth's finest landmark
My patience has died, first guilt, now hate's best sonFor every M.P., all their strong kind words
Can't be guilty but you and I both knowTruth, rest your head, there is more
Than a life at stake here, for me you died tonight
So don't involve me in your plans when
The chat shows beckon, for me you died tonightSo truth, rest your head, there is more
Than a life at stake here, for me you died tonight
So don't involve me in your plans when
The chat shows beckon, for me you died tonightSo truth, rest your head, there is more
Than a life at stake here, for me you died tonight
So don't involve me in your plans when
Your money beckons, for me you died tonightFor me you died tonight, for me you died tonight
For me you died tonight, for me you died tonight

There are two bands with this name: 1) Gene were a British indie/rock quartet which rose to prominence in the mid-1990s. The band was formed in London by lead singer Martin Rossiter in 1993, and disbanded in 2004. The line-up comprised Matt James (drummer), Kevin Miles (bassist), Steve Mason (guitarist), and Martin Rossiter (vocalist, keyboards). They were popularly labelled as a britpop band, and often drew somewhat superficial comparisons to The Smiths, if only because of their slightly Morrissey-esque lead singer, Martin Rossiter.
