Turncoat - The Stars Above

Influenced by the seemingly limitless sky above us, The Stars Above is a project done by Michael Jakucs intent on exploration. Jakucs hails from Southern California where the sun drenched beaches and Los Angeles skyline have seeped into his music. His themes are meant to be introspective and nostalgic, which comes from his insights into the darker side of life gleaned from his work as a private investigator and his degree in philosophy.

Exploring the thoughts and interactions within the self and the world, dense layers and atmosphere blend together to form a cohesive sound that brings together influences from all over the musical spectrum and creates something unique which results in The Stars Above.

The Stars Above released its first EP Cloud May 9th 2012.

On February 11th 2013, The Stars Above released its debut LP Shoreline.
