Twenty Four Hours A Day Lyrics

I was gonna see the world one day
Maybe be a movie star
Or buy a quiet house down by the bay
And write about the way things areBut the way things are right now
I can hardly write my name
And I've lost my taste for the wanderin' ways
For fortune and for fameDarlin', all I want to do is be with you
Twenty four hours a day
All the other dreams I've had
Have faded awayDarlin', all I want to do is be with you
Twenty four hours a day
If you want to be with me
Then here's where I'll stayI was gonna save the human race
Find my place in history
Or sail away one day far out in space
And live a life of mysteryBut the mystery to me
Is the life I've lived before
And the place for me isn't history

It's with you forever moreDarlin', all I want to do is be with you
Twenty four hours a day
All the other dreams I've had
Have faded awayDarlin', all I want to do is be with you
Twenty four hours a day
If you want to be with me
Then here's where I'll stay
