Twist of Fate Lyrics

Feels great when you get the runaround, life you led was full of lies,
too late when you start to look around, all you find is wasted lives,
do you want to obliterate some things you don't understand,
since you want to succumb to fate watch the world slip through your hands
(Ahah)
You get the feelin' that it's never gonna change, doesn't mean a thing
Your life's not gonna end, it'll be OK
Don't say goodbye my friend cause it doesn't mean a thing,
the simple twist of fate, no, it doesn't mean a thing,
you start to get the feelin' that it's never gonna end,
doesn't mean a thing
(Ahah)You hate when you start to think about things in life that could have been,
too late, it's not gonna turn around,
can't escape the mess you're in,
do you wish there was a way to stop the fickle hand of fate
or do you give in to the urge and kill the very thing you hate?(Ahah)
You get the feelin' that it's never gonna change, doesn't mean a thing
Your life's not gonna end, it'll be OK

Don't say goodbye my friend cause it doesn't mean a thing,
the simple twist of fate, no, it doesn't mean a thing,
you start to get the feelin' that it's never gonna end,
doesn't mean a thing
(Ahah)Do you feel alive for the first time, do you feel alive for the first time,
do you feel alive for the first time, do you feel alive, alive?

Theocracy started life as a one-man project created by Matt Smith, who played and sang everything on the self-titled debut album released at the end of 2003 on MetalAges Records. The album received fantastic reviews and worldwide acclaim within the metal world. The music epic, melodic power metal with occasional progressive flourishes. Long songs, longer songs, short songs, fast songs, slow songs, midtempo songs, ballads... epic choirs, soaring vocals, pounding drums, crunchtastic guitars, and most importantly, melodies that get stuck in your head.
