Two Steps Lyrics

Autonomy and chemistry
And then its silly you, and then silly me
I'm feeling good and I'm feeling mighty bad
You got to treasure before the good turns badAutonomy and chemistry
And then its silly you, and then silly me
I'm feeling good and I'm feeling mighty bad
You got to treasure before the good turns badWe take
Two steps forward and then ten steps back
Two steps forward and then ten steps back
Two steps forward and then ten steps back
Two steps forward and then tenAnd yes it gets emotional
Those feeling that come up between a boy and girl
And all those words you said you know you didn't mean
The ears that heard them now are feeling very sadUnderstanding is the thing, the key
To open locks that you never believed to even see
And something there in your very heart
Knows that you'll both be there and you'll never partWe take
Two steps forward and then ten steps back

Two steps forward and then ten steps back
Two steps forward and then ten steps back
Two steps forward and then tenDomestic bliss on a cloud named nine
Sweet sexiness, soft caress could be be yours and mine
A cloud named nineTwo steps forward and then ten steps back
Two steps forward and then ten steps back
Two steps forward and then ten steps back
Two steps forward and then ten steps backAnd then the girls sing
And then the boys sing
Lets sing togetherGood thoughts and feelings into the love machine
Good thoughts and feelings into the love machine
Good thoughts and feelings into the love machine
Good thoughts and feelings into the love machineWe're malfunctioning like robot love
We're malfunctioning like robot love
We're malfunctioning like robot love
We're malfunctioning like robot love

At the age of nine, following in her father's and sisters' musical footsteps, Russell began taking lessons on cello, and sang in choirs, before studying art and music in Brighton from 1994. As well as the classical influences of her father, and formal music lessons, Russell listened to gospel music and soul artists such as Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin from an early age, which played a big part in the shaping of her style.
