U Turn Lyrics

Mommi, you got a minute
Just wanted to say I love the way your linen
Is huggin' your hips, one dimple when your grinnin'
No pretendin', I'm here to put my bed in
(My bed in)
For real thats no kiddin'
(Nope)
Complex fantasy, thoughts are forbidden
Just save those playful thoughts for the children
(Yeah)
Six John, Mr. McKnight is about business
She's super fly but she don't know it
She might be mad but she don't show it
She stands alone above the rest
She makes me pass the gamma test
She hurts the lies but she don't tell it
I wanna be loved, I wanna be right
I wanna lay up with the same somebody every night

I wanna be one, I wanna be real
I've got someone who feels the same way that I feel
I'm lookin' for a U-turn girl, from up around the way
U-turn girl, every night and every day
U-turn girl, if I never do the personality
U-turn girl, sounds good to me, good to me, good to me
Yo I double back, 360 degrees spin it
Two-a-smooth steering wheel one finger in it
Nineteen's a touch, twenties' a rub, twenty one's on that luxury
It's more than enough, pull up with a
Your body kept it up, I never went Hollywood
Just stepped it up
So what I speak you should see it is true
She loved the Modena but never seen 'em in blue!
(yeah
You make me work but not that hard
I might just let her drive my car
'Cos she won't go disrespectin' me
She'll be my queen and come with me
She'll be the one to give my all
I wanna be loved, and I wanna be right
I wanna lay up with the same somebody every night
I wanna be one, I wanna be real
I've got someone who feels the same way that I feel
I'm lookin' for a U-turn girl, from up around the way
U-turn girl, every night and every day
U-turn girl, the attitude of a personality
U-turn girl, sounds good to me, good to me, sounds good to me
U-turn girl, good to me
She's a U-turn girl, good to me, good to me
U-turn girl, good to me
[Incomprehensible] U-turn girl, U-turn girl
Slow down rock be killin' 'em
I think I'm ready to wake up with the same somebody
So when they ask in the interviews, I can name somebody
I used to gang some hotties
And get right without gettin' the names from hotties, but
I'm bustin' a U-turn out the player lane
Still struttin' smooth without the player cane
Never Fabolous Brian McKnight connection
Two brothers that's throbbin' in the right direction
I'm lookin' for a U-turn girl, from up around the way
(Up around the way)
U-turn girl, every night and every day
U-turn girl, the attitude of a personality
U-turn girl, sounds good to me, good to me, good to me
U-turn girl, from up around the way
U-turn girl, every night and every day
U-turn girl, the attitude of a personality
U-turn girl, sounds good to me, good to me, good to me
Hey yeah, hey

Brian McKnight (born June 5, 1969 in Buffalo, New York) is an American singer, songwriter, arranger, producer and one of the prominent singers of his years, specializing in pop and R&B. He is a multi-instrumentalist and plays the piano, guitar, and trumpet.

Embracing an effortless eloquence and cocoa butter smooth persona, the music of Brian McKnight has defined the true meaning of an American soul-man since 1991. Like his spiritual Motown godfathers, this upstate New York native has a velvety voice and silky style that captures the vibe of vintage soul without being old fashion. On his latest disc Ten, that blend can be clearly heard.

While Brian’s aspirations might have seemed like a lofty ambition, the longevity of his career is a testament to the purity of his vision. With the release of Ten, McKnight’s first disc for his new label Warner Bros Records, the Grammy-nominated singer could not be more pleased with the outcome. Without a doubt, the landscape of soul music has gotten younger, but that fact did not hinder McKnight’s creative process.

After 16 million albums sold since his self-titled debut, it would have been too easy for McKnight to simply follow the R&B template of rote romanticism. But on Ten, the artist in him felt the need to be more revealing. Though McKnight has been friends with producers Tim & Bob for over ten years, this is the trio’s first collaboration.

Though Brian has never been the kind of singer/songwriter that one would call political that didn’t stop him from penning “Red, White & Blue,” a heart wrenching ode for the men and women currently at war, teaming up with country star Rascal Flatts.

Currently working on a variety of projects including a talk show and soundtracks for two upcoming Tyler Perry projects, the veteran soul singer could not be happier with the outcome of Ten. For fans of real music, Ten is the perfect addition to the soul cannon.
