Under Control Lyrics

VERSE 1
The Bible Speaks, of famines and trial
In the last day, how he’ll sweep through our lives
But we have His assurance, that through all these trials
We’ll be led by his mighty hands, Manna from God
Will come down from above, to restore and nourish our souls.
So through all of your trials and all of your fears
Remember God has it under control.
Chorus
Under Control

---
---
---
-- Under Control
(The winds obey his will)
---
---
(When he speaks the storms will cease)
Oh don’t be afraid
---
---
---
---
---
---
Though the billows may roll
(Oh don’t be afraid)
---
---
---
---
---
---
-- (The billows may roll)
God’s almighty hand
---
---
---
---
Is still in command
( hand

-)
---
---
---
---
---
---
---
-(Still in command)
So rejoice in your soul
---
---
---
---
---
-For its under control
(Rejoice in your soul)
---
---
---
---
---
---
-(It’s under control)
Verse II
Now you may be like David of old, And a giant trial you may face
But just when it seems your standing alone, You’ll find Jesus standing there in your place
With a stone of faith, your giant will fall, and Jesus all the Victory will give
So today as back then, In this world so full of sin, Remember God has still got it under Control

Early Years The Mississippi based Christianairs were renamed Gold City in Dahlonega, Georgia at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve to begin the year 1980 with Dallas Gilliland singing bass, tenor Bob Oliver, lead singer Jerry Ritchie, and baritone Ken Trussell. The group owner was initially Floyd Beck. Bass singer Tim Riley would replace Gilliland as the permanent bass singer in July of that same year after the group's relocation to Gadsden, Alabama. The group was an instant success in the industry, appearing on the main stage of the National Quartet Convention in October 1981.
