Up, Up and Away Lyrics

Step inside for some more of
What you're missing or just unsure of
Say goodbye to those dull days
Inspiration will take you more waysUp, up and away
Hello new dayOh, you're gonna feel so crazy
You're gonna touch the sky
You never felt so hazy, you've never been this high
Just look around you, well, it ain't no lie
H A P P YCome back down from your grey cloud
Feel born again, say it out loud
Don't you know hope can be found
Take your foot out your mouth, come back downUp, up and away
Oh, hello new dayOh, you're gonna feel so crazy
You're gonna touch the sky
You never felt so hazy, you've never been this high
Just look around you, well, it ain't no lie
H A P P YYeah, give the world a message that the word is yes
It's quite impressive, it's real fresh

A little understanding is the reason why
H A P P YUp, up and away
Hello new day
Up, up and away
Oh, hello new dayYeah, you're gonna feel so crazy
You're gonna touch the sky
You never felt so hazy, you've never been this high
Just look around you, well, it ain't no lie
H A P P YYeah, give the world a message that the word is yes
It's quite impressive, it's real fresh
A little understanding is the reason why
H A P P YUp, up and away
Up, up and away
Up, up and away
Up, up and awayIt's been a while in making, this world, it's a loving harmony
Man, it sure was bad, but baby, let your spirit freeRelease it...your spirit

Originally a quartet whose sound drew inspiration from psychedelia, the Beloved found its greatest success as a rave-influenced dance-pop duo. Throughout its fluid existence, the guiding force behind the group remained vocalist Jon Marsh, who formed the band Journey Through inCambridge, UK with Steve Waddington and Tim Havard; with the addition of Guy Gausden (November 1984), the group renamed itself the Beloved, and gradually evolved into a moody dance outfit not dissimilar to New Order.
