Valediction Lyrics

Breathing is a sin, they say
Loneliness is the price to pay
Sad for you, I go once more
I'll dry my eyes on a distant shoreNo way of freezing your rising tide
No way of keeping you by my side
Like a bird, I'll fly high
Guarding over this love of mineA room of trust, a room of fears
A room of laughter with a few sweet tears
There we lay that sunny dawn
Calm but helpless as it lingered onNo way of breaking the march of time
No way of keeping our love sublime
Like a bird, I'll fly high
Watching over this love of mineMany times we hurry by
Lose our problems in a knowing smile
Many days were swept along
Left unnoticed as our love grew strongBelieving each of us would always know
Believing one of us would never go
Like a bird, I'll fly high

Watching over this love of mine

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

A voice that is reminiscent of José González and Beirut. An introspection you might know of Elliot Smith and Nick Drake, and the influence of psychedelic bands from the seventies. You might think David Lemaitre has heard it all in his youth. Guess again. Lemaitre was born in the thin air of La Paz, Bolivia. His mother raised him on the songs of the South American highlands. Studying in Germany and traveling through Europe got Lemaitre in contact with all different kinds of music. What he made himself was a mixture of folk and electronics.
