Waiting For You Lyrics

I have been waiting
I have been waiting
I have been waiting
I have been waiting
I have been waiting
But I can't stay
Everyday, a shade of blue
You won't believe what I'm going through
It just feels like I can't afford to let myself go
No, oh, no
Everyone is just the same
They touch me but I can't stay
There has been no one brighter than you
I can't deny these things that I do
Feels like the world's at stake
'Cause I have been waiting
I have been waiting for you
Heavenly, that's what you are

You're burnin' me like a shining star
How am I supposed to be
That king without you? Oh, oh, it's true, yeah
Everyone is just the same
They love me but I can't stay
There has been no one brighter than you
I can't deny these things that I do
Feels like the world's at stake
'Cause I have been waiting
I have been waiting for you
There has been no one brighter than you
I can't deny these things that I do
Feels like the world's at stake
'Cause I have been waiting
I have been waiting for you
I have been waiting
I have been waiting
I have been waiting
But I can't stay

The Workday Release is a solo project created by David Ottestad in 2008. Based out of Orange County, CA, Ottestad self-released his first record “To the Beginning” in 2009. Showing a wide range of style, “To the Beginning” was Ottestad’s way of searching for a sound to expand on. With a passion for both ambient, rock and acoustic, pop, he created another band in 2010 called The Wandering Tree. Under this title, the rock record “Farther from Familiar” was released. In 2011, Ottestad began writing a follow up to 2009’s “To the Beginning” and would focus more on acoustic, pop.
