Wander Lyrics

I recall one summer's night
Within the month of June
Flowers in mahogany hair
And smell the earth in bloomOnly such a melody comes without a sound
More than faintly heard by those
Who know what they have found
Now it's just a memorySilently we wander
Into this void of consequence
My shade will always haunt her
But she will be my guiding lightSilently we wander
In search of truth and confidence
So many hopes were lost here
Along the way from morning to nightMeet me by the wishing well
In cover of the moon
Whisper to me tenderly
That I will see you soonSing that song from long ago
So I remember you
Flowers in mahogany hair

And mellow days in June
Only for the memorySilently we wander
Into this void of consequence
My shade will always haunt her
But she will be my guiding lightSilently we wander
In search of truth and confidence
So many hopes were lost here
Along the way from morning to nightFrom ashes we were born
In silence we uniteSilently we wander
Into this void of consequence
My shade will always haunt her
But she will be my guiding lightSilently we wander
In search of truth and confidence
So many hopes were lost here
Along the way from morning to nightSilently we wander
Into this void of consequence
My shade will always haunt her
But she will be my guiding lightSilently we wander
In search of truth and confidence
So many hopes were lost here
Along the way

Seeland was formed by Tim Felton (ex Broadcast) and Billy Bainbridge (ex Plone) in the winter of 2004/05 amid the fallout from Birmingham’s ‘Retro Futurist Electronic scene’ – a group of musicians and artists inspired by space age pop, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Joe Meek and eccentric 60’s library music. Having previously released two singles for Stereolab’s Duophonic imprint they spent the last few years carefully crafting the contemporary psychedelic album that is ‘Tomorrow Today’.
