Wasted Tears Lyrics

My wasted tears they fall like rain, and my heart is in pain,
She’s been gone two weeks, seems like years
Since I’ve been crying these wasted tears, my wasted tears
She said goodbye, I said so long
I guess I brought this on my own
Just one phone, knowing that you were near
Might just dry up these wasted tears, my wasted tears
We’d been together a long long time,
Everything seem to be fine, now she’s gone and I’m to blame
Now I’m crying
So life goes on, I must say
Everyday is payday and I’ve got to pay and pay and pay
I’ve realized my worst fears, now I’m drowning in wasted tears my wasted tears
We’d been together a long long time,
Everything seem to be fine, now she’s gone, she’s gone and I’m to blame
Now I’m crying
So life go on I must say
Everyday is payday and I’ve got to pay and pay and pay

I’ve realized my worst fears, now I’m drowning in wasted tears my wasted tears
My wasted tears, my wasted tears my wasted tears

The Fabulous Thunderbirds are a blues-rock band, formed in 1974. Their original line up included guitarist Jimmie Vaughan, the older brother of the influential electrical blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. After performing for several years in the Austin, Texas blues scene, they earned a recording contract with Chrysalis Records and later signed to Arista. The first two albums released in 1979 and 1980 (with Keith Ferguson on bass and Mike Buck on drums), did not initially sell well, but are now regarded as successful white blues recordings.
