Wasting My Young Years Lyrics

You crossed this line
Do you find it hard to sit with me tonight?
I've walked these miles but I've walked 'em straight lined
You'll never know what was like to be fineI'm wasting my young years
It doesn't matter
I'm chasing old ideas
It doesn't matterMaybe
We are
We are
Maybe I'm wasting my young years
Maybe
We are
We are
Maybe I'm wasting my young yearsDon't you know that it's only fear
I wouldn't worry, you have all your life
I've heard it takes some time to get it rightI'm wasting my young years
It doesn't matter
I'm chasing old ideas

It doesn't matterMaybe
We are
We are
Maybe I'm wasting my young years
Maybe
We are
We are
Maybe I'm wasting my young yearsI don't know what you are
Don't leave me hanging on
Don't know what you are
Don't leave me hanging on

Singer Hannah Reid and guitarist Dan Rothman met in the dorms of Nottingham University where they began writing music together in 2009. They later added multi-instrumentalist Dot Major to complete the London Grammar line-up. Their popularity rose with the 2012 release of "Hey Now" which they uploaded to the internet and instantly found an online cult following. Their self-released 2013 debut EP "Metal & Dust" reached the Top 5 of the iTunes chart. The same year they signed to Ministry of Sound and the single "Wasting My Young Years" appeared as the first release on the label.
