Waves Lyrics

Kind of thunder from my heart
Flooding my eyes
Kind of armies marching
Through my head
Sombre soldiers
From nowhere
Kind of someone's
Moving out of me
Have no fear
Going somewhere
Ship is leaving right on time
Empty harbour, wave goodbye
Evacuation of the isle
Caveman's paintings drowning
Famous last words on the air
I stay here and you are there
While our city softly sinks

Cavemen's paintings drowning

Jazspeak was first conceived and formed in 1988, in Newquay, Cornwall. Starting as a guitar and piano duet and later developing to include a variety of other musicians and instruments, and the early recordings of Jazspeak reveal the roots of the compositional style that now utilises entire computerised orchestras. A book of poetry titled, All Quiet On The Western Front, by the Resident Jazspeak Composer, P.S.Belcher, has been published and is available from CreateSpace eStore and on Amazon. The poems range from the intensely serious to the seriously funny.
