Katthult have been a band since January 4th 2000 when they won a demotape competition on NRK P3 in Norway. The type of music is very very heavy pop folk.
Their self-titled debut album was nominated for the Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannsprisen) in 2002.
A Christmas-single was released in 2013, Juleklokker over jorda.
