When Fate Deals It's Mortal Blow Lyrics

I can run through the future, I can see the past
This clear blue day just cannot lastSome have been gone hear what
I say there's a million ways fate will make me pay
Dare to say those fatal words,
That you never could say cause your afraid of the hurt
Never do what you never would,
That critical deed that can bring no good
Just wait, till fate, till fate, deals its mortal blowEyes are brown from looking at the sky,
Your head aches lead and your lips are slime
There's a hundred head hunters all heading this way,
There's a hundred ways just to make you pay
Just wait, till fate, till fate deals its mortal blowI can run through the future I can see the past
This clear blue day just cannot last
Some have been gone hear what I say,
There's a million ways fate will make me pay

The Scientists were an influential rock band formed in Perth, Australia in 1978 led by Kim Salmon. The band had two primary incarnations: the Perth-based punk band of the late 1970s and the Sydney/London-based swamp rock band of the 1980s. The Scientists were much more influential than their minimal commercial success would indicate, lending their influence to artists such as Mudhoney and New York's downtown indie scene of the early 1990s.
They were active from 1978 until 1987, then from 2007.
