When I'm With You Lyrics

Whoa whoa whoa
Yeah yeah yeah
Whoa yeahWell there's a whole lot of things that I'm mad about
And that I love to indulge in when I go out
Going to the movies, or a coffee bar
Listening on the jukebox to a record star
Well there's a whole lot of things that appeal to me
I like watching the western shows on tv
I love to go dancing, but everything I do
Is much more entertaining when I'm with youI like to swim in the sea
And then to laze in the sun
When I'm in your company
It's so much better funI like the late night music on the radio
And when a friend throws a party I just have to go
But I can enjoy anything at all
Anything at all when I'm with youI like to swim in the sea
And then to laze in the sun
When I'm in your company

It's so much better funI like the late night music on the radio
And when a friend throws a party I just have to go
But I can enjoy anything I do
Anything at all when I'm with youWhoa whoa whoa
Yeah yeah yeah
Whoa yeah

Helen Shapiro is remembered today by younger pop culture buffs as the slightly awkward actress/singer in Richard Lester's 1962 debut feature film, It's Trad, Dad. From 1961 until 1963, however, Shapiro was England's teenage pop music queen, at one point selling 40,000 copies daily of her biggest single, "Walking Back to Happiness," during a 19-week chart run. A deceptively young 14 when she was discovered, Shapiro had a rich, expressive voice properly sounding like the property of someone twice as old, and she matured into a seasoned professional very quickly.
