When The Lights Go Out Lyrics

Susie doesn't go out very much
She likes to stay in bed at night
It seems that everything is all too much
But she just lays in bed at nightThe day's all right but thenWhen the lights go out
She calls your name
When the lights go out
Always the same
Always someone left out in the rain
Always the sameShe's the kind who needs the tender touch
She never wants to compromise
What you thought you'd never have gets up
And disappears before your eyesThe day's all right but thenWhen the lights go out
She calls your name
When the lights go out
Always the same
Always someone left out in the rain
Always the same
Always the same

Always the same

Naked Eyes was a synth pop duo which formed in 1982 in Bath, England. They consisted of Pete Byrne (vocals) and Rob Fisher (keyboards). The band split in 1985. Byrne reformed the band in 2006 without Fisher, who died in 1999. Unusual for a British group, they have had far more success in the U.S. than around where they started, with new wave hits "Always Something There To Remind Me" and "Promises, Promises" still remaining popular.
