When You Gonna Change Lyrics

baby don't dont dont play me again
baby don't dont dont hurt me again
baby don't dont dont play me again
baby don't dont dont hurt me again
it started off girl, it started off young
i guess you can say that we were foolish, we were dumb
i knew it in my heart that i was falling in love
cuz all my friends used to tell me, damn you gettin sprung
i really did think that you were the one but as the years went by,
things started to change there i was giggling about the games
that i had played with many girls but im not saying no names
i even took our favorite picture out of the frame
there was no more hurt, and no more pain
i was lovin the life i was messing with these girls every single night
but i knew i wasn't living right
i can't take it no more, i'm packing my bags

i'm out the door, cuz love don't live here
tell me boy when you gonna change
tired of your lies tired of your games
the love we had jus aint the same
tell me boy when you gonna change
old school love like atari girl, yeah
i know i did you wrong, and i'm sorry girl
i really did think that we'd be together forever
tattoo our names but now it's like wateva
you always used to tell me
don't hurt me again
it was a teenage love, it was all pretend
when you run around girl, i was gettin at your friends
i guess i was a player, playin the field
i should of cared more about how i made you feel
cuz the love we built was falling apart
i could see it in your eyes that i was breaking your heart
i know i'm the blame for playing all these games
i can't take it no more, i'm packing my bags
i'm out the door, cuz love don't live here anymore
tell me boy when you gonna change
tired of your lies tired of your games
the love we had jus aint the same
tell me boy when you gonna change
doin me wrong for a long long time
your hard to play with your no longer mine
you broke my heart into two...two
you played me for a fool...fool
if i could turn back the hands of time you know i would
take everything i did bad and change it to good
i would never make you cry i would never tell you lies
nomore late nights hangin with the guys
in thee end it dont make things right
cuz i never should of left you for the girl i liked
can't expect you to wait, cuz i know it in my heart it's just too late
it just too late
baby don't dont dont play me again
baby don't dont dont hurt me again
baby don't dont dont play me again
baby don't dont dont hurt me again
i can't take it no more, i'm packing my bags
i'm out the door, cuz love don't live here anymore
tell me boy when you gonna change
tired of your lies tired of your games
the love we had jus aint the same
tell me boy when you gonna change
when you gonna change
tell me boy...soul radio
when you gonna change

Even though Latin rap music did not garner much national attention up until the 2000s (with some exceptions like Cypress Hill and Big Punisher), America's Southwest always has seen a number of Latino/a rappers, like California's Brown Boy, compete for radio airplay with widely known artists. Brown Boy's "Superman" slow jam topped many radio outlets' favorite playlists and appeared on Billboard's Top Rhythmic 40 in 2006. Hailing from Blythe, CA, Brown Boy earned his name from his baby-faced look and Chicano pride. Although his greatest influence was alternative hip-hop group Lighter Shade of Brown, Brown Boy's first two albums, Change the Game and Represent the Brown, were filled with hardcore Chicano raps. However, the positive responses received from the radio-friendly single "Next 2 U" of the latter album convinced him to be more of himself in his music. In August 2005, he released the Livin' Shady album, which contained "Superman," on Aries Music, distributed via EMI Latin. Still prospering from the exposure of Livin' Shady, he released Chicano Rap Riderz in July 2006.
