Brown Boy, rock on, uhh
Finger Dally, rock, rock on, uhh
Baby girl, rock, rock on, uhh
Soul Radio
(P-p-please don't go away)I don't want you to go
Can't you stay right here by my side?
(Please don't go away)Doesn't matter what you do
All the money and the fame
Baby, hear me when I say
(Please don't go away)I don't want you to go
Can't you stay right here by my side?
(Please don't go away)Doesn't matter what you do
All the money and the fame
Baby, hear me when I say
(Please don't go away)Now I know that you know I'm always on the road
I'm always in the studio, I know what you thinking
I'm messing with these hoes but I ain't got time
The truth about it, baby, I'm just trying to get doughSo we can have a better life, girl

In the end, it's gonna be alright
If we can make it through the struggles
We can make it through the fights
You gotta keep your head up and listen
When I say, listen, please don't go away'Coz I need you to stay, I need you to believe
And put your trust in me, forget about the past
Just ride with me, I don't want you to go
So hold me tight and don't let goI don't want you to go
Can't you stay right here by my side?
(Please don't go away)Doesn't matter what you do
All the money and the fame
Baby, hear me when I say
(Please don't go away)I don't want you to go
Can't you stay right here by my side?
(Please don't go away)Doesn't matter what you do
All the money and the fame
Baby, hear me when I say
(Please don't go away)You ain't gotta be scared, I ain't going nowhere
So for the rest of my life, I'll be here with you
Just listen to this song, it's dedicated to you
For everything you've done and everything you doYou're working 9 to 5 so you could provide
You did what you had to do so we could survive
I give you all the credit, girl 'coz you keep me alive
So listen when I say, listen, please don't go away'Coz I need you to stay, every night I pray
I'm hoping for the better days, praying that you'll always stay
Girl, don't you leave my side
Just give me some time so I can make it right
Let me make it rightI don't want you to go
Can't you stay right here by my side?
(Please don't go away)Doesn't matter what you do
All the money and the fame
Baby, hear me when I say
(Please don't go away)I don't want you to go
Can't you stay right here by my side?
(Please don't go away)Doesn't matter what you do
All the money and the fame
Baby, hear me when I say
(Please don't go away)I don't want you to go
I need you to stay
So listen when I say
(Please don't go away)I don't want you to leave
I need you here with me
So listen when I say stayYou were there with for me, baby, before I made a name
Girl, for that reason my love will never change
No matter the money, no matter the fame
The way I feel about you will remain the sameThrough the good and the bad
Through the thick and the thin
I'm gonna love you, baby 'til the very end
Just take my hand and follow my lead
I put it on my life, you're all that I needI don't want you to go
Can't you stay right here by my side?
(Please don't go away)Doesn't matter what you do
All the money and the fame
Baby, hear me when I say
(Please don't go away)I don't want you to go
Can't you stay right here by my side?
(Please don't go away)Doesn't matter what you do
All the money and the fame
Baby, hear me when I say
(Please don't go away)Brown Boy, rock on, uhh
Finger Dally, rock, rock on, uhh
(Please don't go away)Baby girl, rock, rock on, uhh
Soul Radio, rock, rock on, uhh

Even though Latin rap music did not garner much national attention up until the 2000s (with some exceptions like Cypress Hill and Big Punisher), America's Southwest always has seen a number of Latino/a rappers, like California's Brown Boy, compete for radio airplay with widely known artists. Brown Boy's "Superman" slow jam topped many radio outlets' favorite playlists and appeared on Billboard's Top Rhythmic 40 in 2006. Hailing from Blythe, CA, Brown Boy earned his name from his baby-faced look and Chicano pride. Although his greatest influence was alternative hip-hop group Lighter Shade of Brown, Brown Boy's first two albums, Change the Game and Represent the Brown, were filled with hardcore Chicano raps. However, the positive responses received from the radio-friendly single "Next 2 U" of the latter album convinced him to be more of himself in his music. In August 2005, he released the Livin' Shady album, which contained "Superman," on Aries Music, distributed via EMI Latin. Still prospering from the exposure of Livin' Shady, he released Chicano Rap Riderz in July 2006.
