When You Gonna Learn (Didgeridoo) Lyrics

Yeah, yeah
Have you heard the news today?
People right across the world
Are pledging they will play the game
Victims of a modern world
Circumstance has brought us here
Armageddon's come too near
Too, too near, now
Foresight is the only key
To save our children's destiny
The consequences are so grave
So, so grave, now
The hypocrites we are their slaves
So, my friends, to stop the end
On each other we depend
Oh, we dependMountain high and river deep
Stop it going on
We gotta wake this world up from its sleep

Oh, people
Stop it going onYeah, yeah
Have you heard the news today?
Money's on the menu in my favourite restaurant
Now don't talk about quantity
There's no fish left in the sea.
Greedy men been killing all the life there ever was
And you'd better play it nature's way
Or she will take it all away
Don't try and tell me you know more than her about right from wrong
Now you've upset the balance, man
Done the only thing you can
Now my life is in your handsMountain high and river deep
Oh, yeah
Stop it going on
We gotta wake this world up from its sleep
Oh, people
Stop it going onMountain high and river deep
Oh, yeah
Stop it going on
We gotta wake this world up from its sleep
Oh, people
Stop it going onGreedy men will fade away
When we stop it going on
I know it's got to be that way
Oh, people
Stop it going on
I'm asking, oh
When you gonna learn
To stop it going on?
When you gonna learn
To stop it going on?
When you gonna learn
To stop it going on?

Jamiroquai is a funk/acid jazz band which formed in London, England, United Kingdom in 1992. The band currently consists of Jason 'Jay Kay' Cheetham (vocals), Matt Johnson (keyboards), Rob Harris (guitar), Paul Turner (bass), Derrick McKenzie (drums) , Sola Akingbola (percussion), Lorraine McIntosh (backing vocals) and Hazel Fernandez (backing vocals). The name "Jamiroquai" is derived from the Native American Iroquois tribe, with which Kay has said he identifies philosophically, combined with 'Jam', as in musical jamming.

After Jay Kay auditioned unsuccessfully to be the singer of the Brand New Heavies, he decided to put together his own band. Jamiroquai's first single, "When You Gonna Learn?", was released in 1992 on the Acid Jazz label. Following its success, Kay signed a £1,000,000 eight-album record deal with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. The band enjoys worldwide popularity and is the best-known member of the early-1990s London-based acid jazz movement, alongside groups such as Incognito, Galliano, and Corduroy. Jamiroquai has since, however, moved in other musical directions.
