Where Cedar Nouns and Adverbs Walk Lyrics

Every time we meet its always love and wine
The trees make our bathetic talk
Where cedar nouns and adverbs walkWith beetles as the backup band
The flightless cheering in their stands
The empty swing sets hushed reprise
Makes that first language thick as spiesLets relearn every vowel and phrase
And make it better than before
Lets relearn every vowel and phrase
And make it better than beforeI think you know why, what to do
Rules of it are so damn cruel
I think you know what to do
The rules of it are so damn cruel
I think you know why, what to do
The rules of it are so damn cruelNow let's make our lips an accident
On the corner of came and went
Well merge in gymnastic flips, spirographs
Well forget what the future hasWell take the day off, let's take the day off
Lets' take the day off, let's take the day offI think we all know the words

I think we all know the words
I think we all know the words
I think we all know the wordsI think we all know the words
I think we all know the words
I think we all know the words
I think maybe we all know the wordsI think we all know the words
I think we all know the words
I think we all know the words

The Most Serene Republic is a Canadian indie rock band formed in Milton, Ontario, by band members Adrian Jewett, Ryan Lenssen, and Nick Greaves, who had all left school to pursue more artistic ventures. The band takes its name from the sobriquet of formerly independent Venice under the Doges, which was regarded as "The Most Serene Republic of Venice." The Most Serene Republic released its debut album, Underwater Cinematographer, in 2005 on the Arts & Crafts label.
