Cap is a die-hard folkie troubadour with country, roots, rock, psychedelic, reggae, and punk sensibilities. He lives in Northern California and plays "folk and roll", a lot of it political in nature. He played in a variety of different bands during the 80's. Previous musical incarnations include: The Purgatory Good Time Band, Decade, Age of Reason, and an entirely fictitious association with the seminal surf band of the Great Plains, Los Longboards. He has spent countless hours busking on the Pacific Garden Mall in Santa Cruz and Telegraph Avenue in Berzerkley. Cap has maintained a 30 year musical friendship with Los Dudes (formerly of Orange County). He has been inspired by a long tradition of anti-fascist singer-songwriters including: Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Phil Ochs, Gil Scott-Heron, Johnny Cash, Buffy Sainte-Marie, John Prine, Holly Near, Billy Joe Armstrong, Bono, Lee Ving, and Joe Strummer.
