Wolf At The Door Lyrics

do you mind if I change in here she said
I said no go right ahead
you're the star
you can hang your sweaty little
black leather dress
right here on my guitar
I said my what big eyes you have
what big teeth
what tattoos
what big scars
she took a bite out of me
I said feet come on take me to my car
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on a wolf
hangin' at your door
you don't say no

with an empy belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on it
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on a wolf
hangin' at your door
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on it
I was doing handstands on the bandstand
at the shimmy shimmy coco bop bar
everybody had a phone in their pocket
everybody had a greasy charm
mr. big and the pistols
kissy kissy baby
this was bizarre
they huffed and they puffed
they blew me away
like a ten cent cigar
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on a wolf
hangin' at your door
you don't say no
with an empy belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on it
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on a wolf
hangin' at your door
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on it
wolves dressed up in sheepskin
dressed up in sequins and a hat
you can never be too paranoid
miss bette davis said that
look out little girls and boys
talk about your toys
talk about your cool cats
all the better to eat you with
all the better to beat it
I said that
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on a wolf
hangin' at your door
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on it
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on a wolf
hangin' at your door
you don't say no
with an empty belly
and a barbed wire bonnet on it

Patty Larkin (b. June 19, 1951, Iowa) is a Boston-based singer-songwriter. She trained at the Berklee College of Music before pursuing a solo career in folk music. Her songwriting has been praised for its wit, and her technical guitar playing has also received praise (which she made light fun of in her feminist song, Not Bad for a Broad). In 1990, she joined Christine Lavin, Megan McDonough, and Sally Fingerett to form the Four Bitchin' Babes, with whom she toured and recorded one album.
