Writing on the Wall Lyrics

I can see the writing on the wall
Underdeciphered messages to us
Thoughts of long forgotten people
Fading away, getting vaguer day by day
Each hiding a secret that
Not one will declareI see the writing
I see that none of it is read up unto to me
I'm the exception
Said no one stopped to write a doggone thing about me, hey hey well
Now that I knowWell the wall could tell a tale or two
Maybe some of me or some of you
Everybody listening carefully
But not enough that sometime you wrote a lie
A cliche upon our door
Or did you write moreI see the writing
I see that none of it is read up unto to me
I'm the exception
I said no one ever gets to write a thing about me, well

Now that I know
