Yesterday Lyrics

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday.Suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday came suddenly. Why she had to go I dont know, she wouldn't say
I said something wrong now I long for yesterday.Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday. Why she had to go, I dont know, she wouldn't say
I said something wrong now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play
Now, I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday...

The Brothers Four are an American folk group founded in 1957 in Seattle, Washington. Bob Flick, John Paine, Mike Kirkland, and Dick Foley met at the University of Washington, where they were members of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity in 1956. Their first professional performances were the result of a prank played on them in 1958 by a rival fraternity, who had arranged for someone to call them, pretend to be from Seattle's Colony Club, and invite them to come down to audition for a gig.
