You Gotta Move Lyrics

you gotta moveyou gotta move
you gotta move
i'll show you what you should do
you gotta move this way
and everything's gonna be okay
it's a chemical bliss and a stranger's kiss
you always lose your color and fall
you just move, that's allyou're just below dallas town
where the sky burns bright white
i watched the sun go down
and the moon lights you up like a spotlight
so stumble and trip down the broken strip
with your planet packed in your car
you just move, don't go farstarting to spin in your circle again
so pull the hammer back, that's a start
and just move, pull me apart
you gotta move
you gotta move

i'll show you what you should do
you gotta move this way
and everything's gonna be okay
it's a chemical bliss and a stranger's kiss
you always lose your color and fall
you just move, that's allyou're just below dallas town
where the sky burns bright white
i watched the sun go down
and the moon lights you up like a spotlight
so stumble and trip down the broken strip
with your planet packed in your car
you just move, don't go farstarting to spin in your circle again
so pull the hammer back, that's a start
and just move, pull me apart

Heatmiser was an alternative rock band that originated in Portland, Oregon in 1992. Consisting of Elliott Smith (guitar and vocals), Neil Gust (guitar and vocals), Brandt Peterson (bass; later to be replaced by Sam Coomes, frontman of Quasi), and Tony Lash (drums), they were known for their well-crafted lyrics and songs featuring melancholic and cheery words and melodies. The pop-oriented songs of Elliott Smith were a contrast to the darker songs of Gust, while both Smith and Gust's songs touched on subjects such as anger, alienation, loneliness and despair.
