You Only Disappear Lyrics

Close my eyes, I'm moving still
Magazines and dollar bills
And you wake up to a fall of snow
Your telephone, your radioBaby I'll call up a storm and keep you safe from harm
But you only, you only disappearI can live with my regrets
Still raise a smile, still raise my head
And a stranger God can be so cruel
And a holy fool is still a foolBut this is all I can say, I have lost my way
But you only, you only disappearWith a word, with a line
With a smile that says goodbye
Baby says goodbyeIt's raining now on royal street
And I'd walk to you if I could trust my feet

Tom McRae is a singer-songwriter from the United Kingdom. He grew up in Suffolk, the son of an Anglican vicar. McRae sang in the choir. His mother played guitar and as a teen, he'd borrow it. He began writing songs at 15. At 18 he moved to London to study politics at London Guildhall University, soon forming bands and writing songs. A chance meeting with sound engineer Roger Bechirian led him to a working relationship that shaped McRae's soft-spoken sound and later landed him a deal with DB records.
