Your Turn To Remember Lyrics

I was always the one who did the thinkin'
It was me, I'm sorry I who made the plans
There was never a thought we might do somethin' between us
And it's so clear I think I'm beginnin' to understand
I was the one who had to lay it out and pay it out
I would work all night even though I wanted to play out and stay outNow it's your turn to remember
And it's your turn to try to understand
But you never would, would you? When the time came for stayin' together
You refused to even talk about forever
It was easy tellin' me you love me
And I was a little late in finding out the truth
The rule of love was there, you had to bend it
Now the damage is done it's impossible to mend it
I can't mend itNow it's your turn to remember
It's your turn to feel a little pain, yeahI feel a little better talking about her
Yet her memory's not good for me
The skies are not so gray now
I've found a new tune to play now

It's a better song, it'll be followin' onAnd when the time came for stayin' together
You refused to even talk about forever
It was easy tellin' me you love me
And I was a little late in finding out the truth
The rule of love was there but you had to bend it
Now the damage is done it's impossible to mend it
You know I can't mend itNow it's your turn to remember
It's your turn to feel a little pain
Come on baby! It's your turn to remember
Your turn to feel a little painIt's your turn to remember
Your turn to feel a little painYour turn to remember
Your turn to feel a little painYour turn to remember
Your turn to feel a little pain

Uriah Heep is a British rock band, officially formed in 1969 in London, England, when record producer Gerry Bron invited keyboardist Ken Hensley (previously a member of The Gods and Toe Fat) to join Spice, members of whom included soon-to-become Heep stalwarts David Byron (vocals) and Mick Box (guitar). The band rapidly grew to become a seminal classic hard rock act of the 1970s and beyond. Their distinctive progressive/art rock/heavy metal fusion has always featured a massive keyboards sound, strong vocal harmonies and (in the early years) David Byron's operatic vocals.

Sometimes jokingly referred to as "The Beach Boys of heavy metal" for their melodic songs, and trademark multi-part harmony backing vocals, although their music draws on diverse influences including psychedelia, gothic sound, progressive rock, hard rock, early heavy metal, jazz, and even country on occasion.

Uriah Heep remains active, its lineup staying steady from 1986 to 2007, when drummer Lee Kerslake left for health reasons, and was replaced by Russell Gilbrook. The current lineup is: Mick Box (guitar, vocals), Trevor Bolder (bass, vocals), Phil Lanzon (keyboards, vocals), Bernie Shaw (lead vocals), and Russell Gilbrook (drums, vocals).
