electric kingdom Lyrics

Huh, deep in the city people live in the streets
You got to be careful of everyone you meet
There's lootin' and shootin', people stabbin' and grabbin'
The innocent by stander, the police are grabbin'Ain't it a pity 'cause you hate the city
But the way you feel ain't no big deal
You've got to survive and that the real nitty gritty
You go uptown, downtown, you've got to turn your life aroundBack in the jungle a man is free
Free from the street, from captivity
Break out, break in, it doesn't matter where you've been
Snake pit, lion's den, you need someone to be your friendCome to Electric Kingdom
Truck to Electric Kingdom
Come to Electric Kingdom
Truck to Electric KingdomElectric
Electric
Electric
ElectricGive it to me, give it to me
(Give it to me, give it to me)
Give it any way you play

(Give it)Sign in on the one, huh
Get up, get up, be on your way
On the one, huhElectric KingdomWho you talkin' to?
Who youGive it, take it
Give it, take itElectric KingdomWho you talkin' to?
Who you?Electric Kingdom
Electric KingdomCome to Electric Kingdom
Truck to Electric Kingdom
Come to Electric Kingdom
Truck to Electric KingdomAin't it a pity 'cause you hate the city
But the way you feel ain't no big deal
You've got to survive and that the real nitty gritty
You go uptown, downtown, you've got to turn your life around, huhElectric Kingdom
Truck to Electric KingdomElectric Kingdom

Craig Adams and Ade Mainor released a number of influential 12"s and Mix CDs as DJ Assault on their Assault Rifle and Electrofunk labels in the 90's. Amongst these were the classic "Ass N Titties", "Return of Terrortech" , "Let Me C U Pop" and the "Straight Up Detroit Shit" mix series which helped define the hyrbid Ghetto Tech sound emerging from the Motor City. After an acrimonious split in 2000, Adams continued working under the DJ Assault name while Mainor adopted the moniker Mr. De'.
