A Lifetime Burning Lyrics

Album: A Lifetime Burning
There’s something wrong in her world today
She screams aloud but just won’t say
Never was her strongest point to, hurry up a wait
Now it’s all been said and done
A preacher’s daughter, a devil’s son
Her favorite color, a day alone
No smile on her face
And you…
Were wrong
And you…
Were wrong
‘Cause I don’t believe I failed you
Are your lies still coming true?
Do you still think the better days are gone?
‘Cause after all the things we’ve been through
Years so hard to lose
Give me a life of half love, half hope, half true

Or a lifetime burning with you
And all those things he’d said he’d got
Seemed so big but don’t mean much
Spends his days just praying
“God oh, feeling in this way”
No one saw the broken heart
Or even knew the day it started
No one thought he was good enough
Except for you…
Except for you…
I don’t believe I failed you
Are your lies still coming true?
Do you still think the better days are gone?
‘Cause after all the things we’ve been through
Years so hard to lose
Give me a life of half love, half hope, half true
Or a lifetime burning…yea
You’re gonna miss those things you’re giving away
You need to hold out, you’re gonna break down
You need to find your way back to the start
Who cares what they say?
It’s still your heart
Your heart…
Something wrong in her world today
The one she loves, she threw away
Still see it on her face, when she’s got a smile to fake
And all those things he said he’d got
He cashed them in and it just wasn’t enough
To buy back a star to replace the one he loved
And you…
Were wrong
And I…
Was wrong
‘Cause I don’t believe I failed you
Are your lies still coming true?
Do you still think the better days are gone?
‘Cause after all the things we’ve been through
Years so hard to lose
Give me a life of half love, half hope, half true
‘Cause I’ll take a life of half love, half hope, half true
Or a lifetime burning…
