A Welcome Haunting Lyrics

Steal the breath from me, it's yours to take
I give it freely
Shake me from my sleep to see the things
I could have done
To change everything, to be in placeTo drive you both home
Not to gravestones
Take you somewhere safeSpeak to me in memories, to comfort me
A welcomed haunting, this is my apology, this fallacy
A welcomed haunting, silence ringing through the city
Sorrow floods the streetsIt occurs to me
I haven't seen where you've been sleeping
Crushed so deep beneath reality, just over six feet
What could I have done is all I'll thinkTo drive you both home
Not to gravestones
Take you somewhere safeSirens
(I am)
Blaring
(Failing)

Echo through the trees
(Rest in peace)Silence
(Silent)
Waiting
(Funeral procession)
Two are missing heartbeats
(Through the streets)Lift the coffin weight, I feel ashamed
There's something missing
The black hearse waits below
Down by the road To drive you both home
To your graves, your final resting place

A noble attribute often ascribed to professional athletes is their ability to play with pain. That certainly applies to the fiery Seattle hardcore rock band On The Last Day. Consider this particular road hazard: They were playing in Charleroi, PA this last tour, singer Geoff Walker recalls. And right at the end of Leaving The Citadel bassist Aaron Johnson's headstock and Geoff's face crossed paths. "He hit me and all I remember was thinking, That's gonna bleed." He awoke a minute later to Justin handing him a towel and a river of blood meandering across the stage from his nose.
