Boo Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
He tends to get carried away
Like a talk show he's got drama everyday
Lots of rage and mental abusing
The way he treats me it's obvious he's confusing
Me for some dumb bitch who will stick around
I tend to stick aroundYou, you tell me that you love me
If it's true why am I runnin' from you?
And who are these bitches on my answering machine?
Yea you, you tell me that you love me
But Boo, if this is love, it's a good thing you don't hate meSuperfly, someone who'll at least try

Who'll smoke me out from time to time
And love me all night
Tell me everything about him
And none of it turns out to be lies
Easy, rainbows these words come to mind
And they love me all nightYou, you tell me that you love me
If it's true, why am I runnin' from you?
And who, are these bitches on my answering machine?
Yea you, you tell me that you love me
But Boo, if this is love, it's a good thing you don't hate meNever settle for the things that you don't really want
'Cause all it gets you is a big old piece of unhappiness
Happiness could be mine but it's so hard to talk to you
Baby day I will, some day I will and this is what I'll sayAh ha ha, ooh hoo
Ooh hoo, yea, ooh hoo
LikeHold me close 'cause I'm the most
And make a toast to you and me
See that's the way love's supposed to be
Not stressful alrightYou, you tell me that you love me
If it's true, why am I runnin' from you?
And who, are these bitches on my answering machine?Never settle for the things that you don't really want
'Cause all it gets you is a big old piece of unhappiness
Yea It's a good thing you don't hate me
If this is love how could this be?
It's a good thing you don't hate me
If this is love how could this be?
It's a good thing you don't hate me
If this is love how could this be?

Macy Gray (born Natalie McIntyre September 6, 1967) from Canton, Ohio is a Grammy Award winning neo soul/R&B singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. To date, Macy has released five studio albums, one compilation album and a live album. She has acted in a number of movies including Training Day, Idlewild, and Lackawanna Blues, Gray is best known for her international hit single "I Try", taken from her multi-platinum debut album On How Life Is. Other hits include "Sweet Baby," "Do Something," "When I See You," and "Beauty in the World."

Macy Gray was originally hesitant to record a studio album due to what is, arguably, her most recognizable feature -- her voice. She started her music career as a songwriter. Her first album was actually a mistake; she was at the studio waiting for the person who was supposed to be singing her song, and the producer wanted to hear what one of the songs was supposed to sound like. Once she started singing, the producer liked the rough sound of her voice so much he offered her a record deal.
