Help Me Lyrics

It's a sad, sad day
When the thing you love, my love
Brings you to your knees, my love
Beats you down and eat you up
'Til your nothing but gray
They say I'm too far left
At least I ain't someone else
'Cause I can't change it
And then exchange it
I'm just freeing myself
They say I'm too far gone
And I say that they're wrong
'Cause who are they to
Say who I should be
And where I'm going
Am I going to heaven?
Am I going to hell?
You see when

I wake up in the morning
I just can't tell
I can't help myself
And some say I'm bad
Some say I'm good
And some they think
I'm just a psycho broad
But I'm just misunderstood
Yeah, I'm misunderstood
So can somebody help me?
(Help me, help me, help me, help me)
So can somebody help me?
(Help me, help me, help me, help me)
Somebody help me
(Help me, help me, help me)
Help me, help me, help me, help me, now
If I change, change, change
If I switch off my delivery
Will my love remember me?
When I'm dead and gone
They say I'm dead and gone, they say
They say I'm too far left
At least I ain't someone else
'Cause I can't change it
And then exchange it
I'm just freeing myself
They say I'm too far gone
And I say that they're wrong
'Cause who are they to
Say who I should be
And where I'm going
Am I going to heaven?
Am I going to hell?
You see when
I wake up in the morning
I just can't tell
I can't help myself
And some say I'm bad
Some say I'm good
And some they say
I'm just a psycho broad
I'm just misunderstood
Yeah, I'm misunderstood
Yeah, so somebody help me
(Help me, help me, help me, help me)
Somebody help me
(Help me, help me, help me, help me)
Reach out your hand and help me
(Help me, help me, help me)
Don't let the rain on your shoulder now
I try to follow
But it don't fit me
I'm hard to swallow
'Cause they don't get me
And my soul is shifting
I call it unique
But I guess I don't know
So can somebody help me?
(Help me, help me, help me, help me)
Can somebody help me?
(Help me, help me, help me, help me)
Can somebody help me?
(Help me, help me, help me)
Help me, help me, help me, help me, now
Can somebody help me?
(Help me, help me, help me, help me)
Can somebody help me?
(Help me, help me, help me, help me)
Can somebody help me?
(Help me, help me, help me)
One, two, three, four
Somebody help me, somebody help me
Somebody help me, somebody help me
Somebody help me, somebody help me
Somebody help me, somebody help me
Somebody help me, somebody help me
Somebody help me, somebody help me
Somebody help me, somebody help me
Somebody help me, somebody help me

Macy Gray (born Natalie McIntyre September 6, 1967) from Canton, Ohio is a Grammy Award winning neo soul/R&B singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. To date, Macy has released five studio albums, one compilation album and a live album. She has acted in a number of movies including Training Day, Idlewild, and Lackawanna Blues, Gray is best known for her international hit single "I Try", taken from her multi-platinum debut album On How Life Is. Other hits include "Sweet Baby," "Do Something," "When I See You," and "Beauty in the World."

Macy Gray was originally hesitant to record a studio album due to what is, arguably, her most recognizable feature -- her voice. She started her music career as a songwriter. Her first album was actually a mistake; she was at the studio waiting for the person who was supposed to be singing her song, and the producer wanted to hear what one of the songs was supposed to sound like. Once she started singing, the producer liked the rough sound of her voice so much he offered her a record deal.
