I worked hard all my life for my weekly paycheque; I worked hard all my life for my pay.
I worked so hard every week to ensure that paycheque; I worked hard to support my family.
I gave my all every day to secure that paycheque; I gave my all to the Boss who signed my pay.
I gave my all every day to feel pride in that paycheque; I gave my all to support my family.
Yet the taxman believes he deserves a slice of my pay.
He taxes every single dollar I work for; when I spend it he taxes me again,
He even taxes the house that I live in; he’s taxing me at both ends.
I worked so hard every week for that paycheque; I worked so hard to earn my pay,
I worked so hard to deserve every cent of my paycheque; I worked so hard to support my family,
I toiled I sweat I sacrificed for that Paycheque, I’ve earned some scars while I worked for my pay,
I took abuse and misuse while I conformed for that paycheque, for the right to support my family.
Yet the taxman believes he deserves a slab of my pay.
He taxes every single dollar I work for; when I spend it he taxes me again,

He even taxes the house that I live in; He’s taxing me at both ends.
I’m just another victim of Government greed,
A squandering Government, always in need.
