Boys Will Be Boys Lyrics

Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys, hey
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys
You've got something
So incredible in my eyes
My heart starts pumpin'
(My heart starts pumpin')
Whenever you're around
My whole world's upside down, baby
But I try to get closer
And you always push me away
(Oh)
You tell me it's much too soon
But I just can't help it
I always gotta make a play
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys, yeah, hey

Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
(Baby)
Boys will be boys
(Oh)
All my senses could I into over drive
(Oh)
All my defenses are never gonna hold
I'm always gonna lose control
(Oh, oh)
I hear you saying that you think that we should wait
And I can't hold on any more
My body's callin' for you so please don't hesitate no
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys
You ought to know by now, baby
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys, oh, baby, boys will be boys
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys
You ought to know by now, baby
(Oh, oh)
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys, I gotta' what I gotta do, baby
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go
Come on, come on, come on
Ah, la la la la
And I hear you saying that you
Think that we should wait
(Oh)
And I can't hold any more
My body's callin' for you so please don't hesitate
My body's callin' for you so please don't hesitate
Whoa, whoa oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys
You ought to know by now, baby
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys
You know I gotta' do what I gotta do, baby
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys, boys will be boys
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, oh
Boys will be boys
(C'mon boys)
Oh boys
You know that boys will be boys

The quintet -- Ted Poley (vocals), Andy Timmons (guitar), Bruno Ravel (bass), Steve West (drums), and Kasey Smith (keyboards) Landed a deal with Epic in 1989. The same year saw the release of the group's self-titled debut, spawning the single/video "Naughty Naughty," which enjoyed a few airings on MTV's Headbanger's Ball program. The album failed to break the group through to the big time, but the group stuck to their guns and issued further albums: 1992's Screw It, 1995's Dawn, 1998's Four the Hard Way, and 2000's Return of the Great Gildersleeves.
