Busy Body Lyrics

BusyDo downhearted 'cause what had started
Out to be love has now dearly departed
There's no reason for you to be leaving
I wish you would stay, butYou're a busy body
Giving all your lovin' to just anybody
Hey, a busy body
Holding, kissing, loving, hugging any bodyIf it would have lasted, it would have been fantastic
But when the morning came you were gone
All your one night standin' must take a lot of plannin'
But I don't think you'll last for very long'Cause you've got a busy body
Giving all your lovin' to just anybody
Yeah, busy body
Holding, kissing, loving, hugging any body, at allAll I ever
Wanted to do was love you, baby
Gotta believe me
I'm hopelessly into youOh no, no
You never say no
You never say no, no

No, no, no
This man [Incomprehensible]I can hear love calling and I can't believe I'm falling
For somebody who'll never be all mine, no
I've got to stop the fire, I can't let it get no higher
But, I'm so afraid I'm runnin' out of time'Cause you've got a busy body
Giving all your lovin' to just anybody
Hey, busy body
Holding, kissing, loving, hugging any bodyYo, busy body
Giving all your lovin' to just anybody
Yeah, a busy body
Holding, loving, kissing, hugging any bodyA busy body
Giving all your lovin' to just anybody
Yeah, busy body
Holding, kissing, loving, hugging any bodyBusy, busy, busy body
Busy body

Lyres are a Boston-area garage rock band led by Jeff Conolly, founded in 1979 following the breakup of DMZ. Their most popular songs included "Don't Give It Up Now," 'She Pays The Rent' and "Help You Ann". The original lineup of the band featured Conolly, Rick Coraccio (bass), Ricky Carmel (guitar), and Paul Murphy (drums). Former DMZ members Coraccio, Murphy, and Peter Greenberg all rejoined Connolly in Lyres at some point from 1979 to the early 2000s.
