Touch Lyrics

7 whole days, 7 whole nights
I can't wait to get you by my side
So you can touch me
Oh, how I need you so much
My body calls out
Please, come and touch me
Too long since I've had some
I need to feel your touch
Craving your touch
Saving my love for the next time
I'm yours, you're mine
Baby, we'll be exciting
When we meet up that night
Two sparks ignite
It's funny how a week
Seems like eternity
I want to feel you near
Can you get here?

Oh, how I need you so much
My body calls out
Please, come and touch me
Too long since I've had some
I need to feel your touch
Can't wait 'till we're skin on skin
Face to face and heartbeats racing
Subway, taxi, airplane or limousine
Pick one, oh, anyone
Come see about me
It's funny how a week
Seems like eternity
I want to feel you near
Can you get here?
Oh, how I need you so much
My body calls out
Please, come and touch me
Too long since I've had some
I need to feel your touch
A phone call won't do, no
I need much more than
Just to hear from you
Sleeping by myself
It just ain't cool, no
My body's aching, baby
And the cure is you
Oh, how I need you so much
My body calls out
Please, come and touch me
Too long since I've had some
I need to feel your touch
Oh, how I need you so much
My body calls out
Please, come and touch me
Too long since I've had some
I need to feel your touch
It's been too long
It feels like eternity
I need to feel you, baby
Come and touch me

Lyres are a Boston-area garage rock band led by Jeff Conolly, founded in 1979 following the breakup of DMZ. Their most popular songs included "Don't Give It Up Now," 'She Pays The Rent' and "Help You Ann". The original lineup of the band featured Conolly, Rick Coraccio (bass), Ricky Carmel (guitar), and Paul Murphy (drums). Former DMZ members Coraccio, Murphy, and Peter Greenberg all rejoined Connolly in Lyres at some point from 1979 to the early 2000s.
