Change Partners Lyrics

All of the ladies attending the ball
Are requested to gaze in the faces
Found on the dance cardsPlease then remember
And don't get to close to one special one
He will take your defenses and runSo we change partners
Time to change partners
You must change partners
AgainThis is how most of our ladies grew up
At the country club dances
They learned how to handle the boysGently but firmly they learned to say no
There were four more young men
Who were waiting in the color and the noiseSo we change partners
Time to change partners
You must change partners
AgainAll of the ladies attending the ball
Are requested to gaze in the faces
Found on the dance cardsPlease then remember and follow your list
'Cause the dear things get hurt

And the broken hearts make you feelSo we change partners
Time to change partners
You must change partners
Again

* Born 13 June 1917, Waterbury, Connecticut
* Died 24 February 2008, New York City, New York The busiest reed man of the space age pop era, Phil Bodner played on many of the albums recorded in New York studios between the mid-1950s and early 1970s. The bigger challenge may be to find recordings he's not on. Bodner was one of the mainstays of Enoch Light's Command label, along with Tony Mottola, Dick Hyman, Doc Severinson, and Phil Kraus, the anchorman of RCA's Living Jazz series, and the leader of the successful now sound instrumental group, The Brass Ring.
