Curare On Your Lips Lyrics

Welcome to the last time
That You can buy my answer
With less than a question
I would sell the hands off my wrists
If they weren't so preoccupied
With taking the bread from Your fingersAnd downing this cheap new years wine
That we call Your blood
And You can wait for midnight
But my lips are sealed
And You can wait for midnight
But my lips are sealedIn this garden I'm waiting anxiously
For my children to come and murder me
In this crowded room, staring nervously
Lovers lick at their lips and wait for the kissI've been sharpening
My teeth for this moment
And I'll stab with my lips
But You've already won

After The Sirens is a five piece indie rock outfit from Boston's snowy North Shore. The success of their 2005 self-released EP "We Have No White Flags," which landed the band its first national cable television performance and critical acclaim from both regional and national media, created a strong regional fan base that was very eager for the release of After The Sirens' first full-length album.

After over two years of persistent self-promotion, After The Sirens signed on with Boston indie label Blue Duck Records in January 2006. Their first full length album "What I Have to Give, Let it be Enough" was released on November 28, 2006.

After taking some time off to graduate from college, After The Sirens embarked on their first national tour in the fall of 2007. At this time, they also released "What I Have to Give..." in Japan, where it charted on the top 10 indie albums of 2007 at Tower Records. The album also included two bonus tracks which were not available on the American release.

On April 6, 2008, after playing only nine shows since the end of their national tour, After The Sirens announced its breakup on its MySpace page. Since then, however, vocalist Ryan Heidorn and guitarist Tom Deyesso have been writing music together which they plan to debut in the Boston area by the end of this summer.
